Prabhas and Deepika’s ‘Kalki 2898AD’ has become the most expensive film in Indian cinema

MUMBAI:  Baahubali superstar Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s science fiction ‘Kalki 2898AD’ has become the most expensive film in Indian cinema.

Indian media has claimed from its sources that the budget of the film has reached 600 crore Indian rupees, which is a new record for any Indian film.

In a recent interview, Prabhas said that the film has been made keeping in mind the global audience and has roped in some of the best artists in the industry, which has led to an increased budget.

The first glimpse of the film, based on the story of a thousand years after the destruction of the world, was revealed at the Comic-Con festival in America.

The mega film was earlier titled as ‘Project K’ and will also feature legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in action.

‘Kalki2898 AD’ will be released in Telugu and Hindi while dubbed in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and English
