KARACHI: District and Sessions Judge Sharqi has extended the interim bail of YouTuber Yasir Shami in the case of viral videos of late anchor person Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
The bail application of Yasir Shami, a co-accused YouTuber in the case of leaking indecent videos of late anchorperson Aamir Liaquat Hussain, was heard in Karachi City Court before the court of District and Sessions Judge Sharqi.
During the hearing, the lawyer of the accused Yasir Shami stated that Yasir Shami comes from Lahore, a later date should be given, the bail of the accused should be confirmed.
The court adjourned the hearing due to the absence of the FIA prosecutor and extended the interim bail of accused Yasir Shami till June 6.
Accused Yasir Shami said in an informal conversation in the court premises that I am a journalist myself, I worked while adhering to journalistic values, I played the video by blurring it.

Yasir Shami said that Section 21 has been imposed on me, this is the problem of Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s property, it is being run on my shoulders but I have full faith in our courts that justice will be done here.
On the other hand, Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s ex-wife Bushra Iqbal told the media that we have been in the court since morning but the FIA prosecutor did not come, it is a pity that the FIA is not taking the high-profile case seriously.
Bushra Iqbal said that she has tried to contact the prosecutor of FIA continuously, today was an important hearing and FIA should have been present. FIA is requested to take this case seriously.
He further said that he is sure that the interim bail of the accused will be cancelled, there is no evidence for the bail of the accused, the accused are not entitled to bail
