According to Indian media, Sanjay Leela Bhansali spoke openly about this in his recent interview, he said that prostitutes are women who have many secrets buried inside them, such women are mentally strong and brave. Such women attract me, I find it quite interesting to know about them.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that prostitutes express their joy and sorrow through music and dance, they have good manners of living, dress and jewelry, they are experts in the world of art.

The director added that we are artists too and we are attracted to similar things, now whether people say good or bad about me, but as a child when I was going to school, I was not attracted to housewives standing in the ration line but to prostitutes. The faces of such women attracted me.
It should be noted that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has entered the OTT platform through the web series ‘Hira Mandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ released on Netflix on May 1.
The mega cast of this series includes Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmain Segal, Taha Shah, Fardeen Khan and Farida Jalal.
‘Hira Mundi: The Diamond Bazaar’ is set in the era of 1940s while the story of the series revolves around the relationship between courtiers and prostitutes.
