SC conducts hearing on Sindh contaminated drinking water case

The Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry on Wednesday conducted hearing regarding drinking water case in which Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah, former Karachi Mayor Mustafa Kamal and Karachi commissioner were summoned.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar remarked while addressing Murad Ali Shah that the court has summoned him with great respect, and its only purpose is to rid the Sindh people of contaminated drinking water.

The CJP added that it is very sad to see such poor situation, and it needs to be changed. A documentary regarding drinking water conditions in the province was also shown in the court.

Justice Saqib Nisar wished Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were there to witness the miserable state of affairs. He directed Murad Ali Shah to solve the problem to give a better future to the next generation.
